For the first time, the Philippine Association of Wedding Planners, come up with a bridal showcase of the country's premiere wedding suppliers and promising talents. Different theme booths are setup at the Activity Center of Trinoma Mall. From the romantic Renaissance (that's us) inspired weddings to fun and hip Moroccan and Mardi Gras, from the coolest Winter Wonderland and hot Oriental and Tropical themes.. soon to be wed couple can choose and be inspired for their upcoming weddings.
Sasha will be at the runway with its modern Renaissance bridal gowns at< 7PM, February 13, 2009, Trinoma Activity Center!> Designed by <Mimi Ferrera and Nikki Manlangit>, lovely brides will sashay the runway in romantic twist of lace, tulle and draped bejewelled chiffon in haute couture fashion of the Renaissance times..

I met Resa and Gian at Power Weddings in April of 2008. It was an instant booking that time. And since it'll be our first Fernbrook Wedding, Nikki and I were so excited to design the gown/suit and entourage gowns.
After a few meetings and exchanges on emails on the look they want, we finally came up with designs that they loved instantly. And as customary to make gowns of entourage nicer, we asked them to set meetings with the rest of the girls and mommies so we can get their opinion on their gown designs and get to know them too. Though it took a number of meetings and lots of moving schedule, each meeting with Resa's girlfriends, the mommies, niece and sister is something to look forward too. The girls are loudest I met-- loud in a good way, they laugh and giggle the loudest I think :). Both moms are oh so sweet, and are super excited to see Resa and Gian wed. And of course Resa and Gian's love story is oh-so romantic. Wow, imagine we made gowns and suit for a publicly declared engagement/proposal. (yup Gian proposed at the MYMP Valentine concert in front of a big MERALCO crowd, sooo sweet). Thus, no wonder they are so cool and showbiz-glittery during the wedding and pictorials after :)
Last Sunday as I saw each one of them in their gowns, I can't help but feel emotional. I will surely miss you.. Tita Nen, Tita Lisa, LA,Ina, Gratz, Ting, Lei, Giselle, pretty Jhervie.. and of course Resa/Gian too.
All the more, I was teary eyed when I saw Resa finally walked down the aisle with her ultra long gown cascading with applause and cheers as background.
May God bless you Gian and Resa all the more. You came from two lovely families and for sure yours will also be love-ly!
